Terms & Conditions of Supply & Installation

GT FLOORS LTD (Company No. 16385532) • Updated 21 October 2026

1. Scope of Services

These Terms and Conditions govern all flooring supply, subfloor preparation (screeding, damp-proofing, ply-boarding), installation (LVT, engineered wood, herringbone parquet, solid wood, laminate, and carpets), and wood floor sanding/restoration services provided by GT Floors LTD (Registered Office: 5 Hilldrop Road, Bromley, BR1 4DB).

2. Surveys, Quotations & Subfloor Conditions

  • Written quotations are valid for 30 calendar days from the date of issue.
  • Where existing floor coverings are in place during the initial survey, hidden subfloor defects (such as cracked screed, high residual concrete moisture >75% RH, or decayed timber joists) can only be fully assessed once uplift is complete. Any additional remedial subfloor engineering required to meet BS 8201 / BS 8203 standards will be discussed and agreed with the Client prior to laying the floor.

3. Acclimatisation & Site Environment

  • Timber, engineered wood, laminate, and LVT materials must be stored flat in unopened packs within the installation room for 48–72 hours at a stable room temperature (18°C–22°C) and relative air humidity (45%–65% RH).
  • All wet trades (plastering, painting, plumbing) must be fully dried and underfloor heating systems commissioned prior to installation.

4. 2-Year Written Workmanship Warranty

GT Floors LTD provides a 2-Year Workmanship Warranty from the date of completion covering installation-related defects. This warranty operates alongside manufacturer product warranties and does not cover damage caused by plumbing leaks, flooding, failure to use felt furniture pads, uncommissioned underfloor heating exceeding 27°C, or extreme indoor humidity fluctuations.
